How cancellations work while Beds Share uses direct guest-to-host payments.

Guests can cancel eligible pending or approved bookings before direct payment proof has been submitted. Hosts can reject pending requests when dates, guest details, or house rules do not fit the listing.
Once a guest submits direct payment proof, cancellation and refund handling must be coordinated with the host because Beds Share does not hold guest funds. Keep payment receipts and conversation records.
Hosts are expected to handle refunds fairly and consistently with the listing details, house rules, and any written agreement shared with the guest before payment.
If a booking is cancelled before guest payment proof is submitted, no Beds Share commission invoice should be marked as paid for that booking. Admins review invoice state from the admin dashboard.
